Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
The Union Station Alliance team is committed to Denver. Our project will create hundreds of jobs (that do not exist today) that will provide opportunities for both jobseekers and local businesses. To further show our committment to Denver and RTD, we will also be teaming with the Workforce Initiative Now (WIN) program that focuses on addressing the training and hiring needs in the local Denver community tied to these large infrastructure projects. We also believe that our concept will add hundreds of additional jobs in the surrounding LoDo neighborhood.
Bringing the Historical Building to Life
Sage Hospitality and Walter Isenberg have renovated and managed numerous historic buildings in recent years with the benefit of preservation tax credits issued through the National Park Service. Office buildings in San Diego and Pittsburg became hotels. A Masonic temple in Providence Rhode Island and a department store in Denver were reactivated as hotels; the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago experienced rebirth. The combination of Tryba, Johnson and Crawford have developed more than three dozen tax credit projects. Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation owns long term leases in the Washington D.C. Union Station and recently purchased on Faneuil Hall’s famed project in Boston. Milender White Construction Co. recently completed the historic internal and external restoration of Denver's own City and County Building. As Crawford says, “Preservation is in our team's DNA.”
Denver Union Station - Alive 7 Days A Week
Well before the first train arrives from DIA, our project will have reenergized Denver Union Station by opening an exciting hotel, restaurants, incredible retail shops and restoring the Great Hall. The Union Station Hotel will become a beacon within this Denver landmark and open to the public 24/7, 365 days a year. Throughout construction and for many successful operation years to come, the Union Station Alliance will provide RTD and the city of Denver with a fully attentive staff focused on programming the internal and external spaces to "Bring the Community Back to the Station".
Why Union Station Alliance?
We understand how personal this project is to so many people. Our team brings together experts in development, design, historic restoration, construction and destination retail/restaurant development. As we manage each detail of this project, USA will thoroughly communicate the progress as we develop this Uniquely Denver/ Uniquely Colorado experience that will increase RTD Ridership, expand tourism, create jobs and make the Denver community proud to invite their freinds to meet them in what we believe will become "Denver's Living Room".
The Union Station Alliance Team

Our team has the experience, the financial capacity and the vision to get this project done.
Sage Hospitality Case Study
Historic Joslins Department Store
14 years ago, Sage Hospitality took the old Joslins Department Store on the 16th St. Mall and redeveloped it into one of the most vibrant blocks on the mall. Today, the building now houses a 170 room Courtyard by Marriott, Starbuck's and various other successful retail shops. Sage has successfully redeveloped historic properties across the nation into successful hotel and destination retail concepts. From San Diego to Rhode Island, these properties have not only continued to be a significant local and visitor draw, but all have maintained their historic designation and integrity. We will do the same here at Union Station.
